Police look for suspect in bank robbery

New Westminster police are looking for a man they say robbed a bank on 10th Street on Tuesday morning. According to a release from Sgt. Gary Weishaar, the man entered the bank just before 10 a.m. and demanded money from an employee.

According to a release from Sgt. Gary Weishaar, the man entered the bank just before 10 a.m. and demanded money from an employee. The suspect was able to gain an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene, though no weapon was used in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male between 30 and 40 years of age, six feet tall with short, light-coloured hair, a blond moustache and deep wrinkles on his cheeks. He was last seen wearing a blue track jacket with white stripes on the shoulders, a light shirt under the jacket, blue jeans, white running shoes and a blue baseball cap.
