1Get supporting the ninth annual New Westminster Hyacks football tailgate auction, on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. in the La Perla ballroom at the River Market at Westminster Quay.
The event includes a dinner by Orlando's Catering and exclusive wine, silent and live auctions, where you can bid on a WestJet vacation package, a weekend at the Grey Cup, autographed items from the Vancouver Canucks and B.C.
Lions and a weekend cowboy getaway at the Chilcotin Holiday Guest Ranch.

2 Get entertained by the Halloween Murder Mystery at the Pacific Breeze Winery on Saturday, Oct. 22. The event starts with a 6 p.m. wine reception, followed by a 6: 30 dinner seating.
During dinner, guests will discover a murder has been committed and one of them is the "Cursed Witch."
Tickets are $55 per person or $50 per wine club member, which includes reception, glass of wine, buffet dinner, entertainment and show presented by the Grimm Reaper Theatrical Group. To make a reservation, call 604-522-2228.
3 Get cheering for the New Westminster Hyacks on Friday, Oct. 21 when they host conference rival Notre Dame Jugglers at 7: 30 p.m. at Mercer Stadium.
Friday Night Lights will never be more important to the injury-ravaged Hyacks, who are licking their wounds after a 41-0 road loss at Vancouver College. Tickets are available at the door.
4 Get eating for a traditional harvest dinner on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church at 121 East Columbia St. in Sapperton. The event starts at 5: 30 p.m. and includes a 7: 30 p.m. concert.
Tickets are $20 for dinner and concert for adults and $10 if you're under 13. For just the concert, it's $10 for adults and $2 if you're under 13. For tickets and info, call 604-777-2611.
5 Get cultural for the New West Doc Fest, running on both Oct. 21 and 22. The event is advertised as film, art, music and poetry, all in one and is being held at Douglas College.
There's an opening reception on Friday at 6 p.m., with a full day of events running from noon to 9: 30 p.m. on Saturday.
