PHOTOS: New Westminster remembers during scaled-back ceremonies due to COVID-19

Ceremonies scaled back due to COVID-19

Although COVID-19 once again challenged Remembrance Day ceremonies this year, community officials, veterans and small crowds gathered to pay their respects to those who served and those who continue to serve Canada.

New Westminster's 2021 Remembrance Day service featured a virtual ceremony that was live-streamed so members of the community could honour veterans and their sacrifices safely.

Residents were also able to take self-guided WWI walking tours at Queen's Park neighbourhood and view the Poppy Project at City Hall.
