New Westminster residents turned out under grey skies on Saturday to help remove invasive plants in Port Royal for Earth Day.
The community event, sponsored by the Queensborough Special Programs Committee and the City of New Westminster, saw residents removing invasive blackberry along the shoreline trail and planting native species instead.
