Southern Railway of British Columbia has reached out to help Royal Columbian Hospital. Employees presented the hospital foundation with a cheque for $6,000 for the hospital's urgent needs equipment campaign. From left, Peter Steineckert, Roy Johnson, Sheldon Walsh and Adam Taylor present the cheque to Barbara Becker, the foundation's director of major gifts. A press release notes that Southern Railway of B.C. is matching funds saved by maintaining and excellent employee safety record and donating the proceeds to the hospital foundation, thus promoting safety and giving back to their community at the same time. Southern Railway has donated a total of $96,000 to the hospital foundation since 2012.Contributed
