Police are investigating a theft at Cap’s the Original Bike Shop in Sapperton.
The incident happened shortly after noon on Wednesday, Feb. 22. It’s alleged two women entered the store and stole a cellphone and a wallet, according to an online post by the bike shop.
The women are believed to be in their mid to late 40s and were pushing a wheelchair. One was wearing a black Team Canada sweater and carrying a teal purse. The other had on a black jacket with a blue sweater underneath.
The Record contacted the New Westminster Police Department and Cap’s Bike Shop to get an update and more details about the theft but calls were not returned.
