The Pattullo Bridge is closing for a third time, this weekend, for maintenance and repairs.
Starting at 9 p.m. on Aug. 23, TransLink is closing the bridge for repairs until 3 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, according to the TransLink website.
During the closure, TransLink will repair sections of the 76-year-old bridge and review the condition of the bridge.
The repairs, however, will not address any structural problems, including the narrow lanes or lack of barriers, and will only focus on improving road safety and the longevity of the bridge, according to TransLink.
The closures will affect the N19 night bus, which will be rerouted over the Alex Fraser and Queensborough bridges, and the 321 bus, which will end at Scott Road on Sunday morning.
This is the final weekend TransLink will be closing the Pattullo Bridge, but if there is heavy rain the repairs will be postponed until Sept. 7. For more information on the closures visit www.translink.ca/pattullo.
