The award-winning Fraser Valley Gilbert and Sullivan Society is producing Phantom of the Panto, with artistic direction by New Westminster's own, Mike Balser, and also performances by local actors Keira Jang (Pirouette) and Gillian Myers (Chorus).

Phantom of the Panto will be on stage from Nov. 28 to Dec. 9 at the Surrey Arts Centre Theatre, 88th Ave. at King George Boulevard. Evening performances, Wednesday to Saturday, are at 7: 30 p.m., with matinées Saturday and Sunday at 2: 30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or online at www.tickets. surrey.ca, or by phone at 604-501-5566. Jazzy Christmas

Get jazzed about Christmas at a special concert with the Coastal Sound Youth Choir and jazz band Van Django on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The concert will be held at 2 p.m. at Queens Avenue United Church, 529 Queens Ave. Tickets are $28 for adults, $22 for seniors, and $12 for students with valid ID, available by phone at the church office, 604-522-1606.

Back by popular demand, the acclaimed Vancouver Welsh Men's Choir is once again performing with Winter Harp Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2: 30 p.m. at Massey Theatre for a special Christmas concert.
