A 38-year-old man is in hospital in serious condition after an early-morning stabbing in Queensborough.
New Westminster police officers attended a residence in the 1300 block of Dan Lee Avenue about 3 a.m. on May 17, after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. Arriving at the residence, police found a man suffering from stab wounds.
"The male was transported to a local area hospital for treatment while a 27-year-old female was taken into custody at the scene," said a press release from the New Westminster Police Department. "The female suspect has not been formally charged at this time and is currently being held at the New Westminster Police office."
The New Westminster Police Department's major crime unit is conducting the investigation, which is ongoing at this time.
"The male victim remains in hospital in serious condition," said the press release. "While it is believed the male victim and female suspect were known to each other, the exact nature of their relationship forms part of the current investigation."
