New Westminster police are looking for three people, two men and one woman, who they believe were involved in a violent home invasion on Oct. 26.
The incident occurred at an apartment building in the 600-block of Third Avenue at approximately 7:30 p.m. The three suspects, armed with a handgun and an unknown blunt object, possibly a hammer, forced themselves into the home, threatened the occupants and then struck one of the occupants several times with the blunt object, causing injuries which required hospitalization.
The three suspects fled the scene and police still have not located or identified them. Police also believe this was not a random incident.
Police are looking for the public's help in identifying the three suspects.
The first suspect is a Caucasian woman in her mid-20s, approximately 5-8 tall, with a thin or medium build, dark hair of an unknown style or length and wearing a dark hoodie.
The second suspect is a Caucasian man in his early- to mid-30s, approximately 5-7 tall, with a thin build, dirty blonde crew-cut style hair, clean cut, and wearing a dark hoodie and dark sweat pants.
The third suspect is a Caucasian man in his late-20s, approximately 6-1 tall, with a thin build, unknown hair colour, style or length, narrow facial features, and wearing a grey hoodie with an off-white pattern around the hood.
All three suspects were observed fleeing the area in an older model dark colored four-door vehicle.
