New Westminster man now faces second-degree murder charge in Surrey death

A 19-year-old New Westminster man now faces a second-degree murder charge in the Feb. 26 death of Kacey Rogers. Joshua Martinez, 19, had been facing firearms-related offences in the death of Rogers, 31, who was shot just after 10:30 p.m. on Feb.

A 19-year-old New Westminster man now faces a second-degree murder charge in the Feb. 26 death of Kacey Rogers.

Joshua Martinez, 19, had been facing firearms-related offences in the death of Rogers, 31, who was shot just after 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 26 in his home in the 14000 block of Grosvenor Road in Surrey.

Last Thursday, police announced that both Martinez and Russell Bidesi, 21, of Surrey, have been charged with second-degree murder, robbery and being in possession of a prohibited firearm.
