Monday’s council meeting features public hearings related to projects from Sapperton to Queensborough, including a highrise/school project in Sapperton and a heritage revitalization agreement in the Queen’s Park neighbourhood.
* Official community plan bylaw and zoning amendment bylaw for 100 Braid St.:Urban Academy, in partnership with Wesgroup Properties, is hoping to rezone the site to allow for the development of a 6,000-square-foot school and a highrise containing 202,900 sq. ft. of residential
* Zoning amendment bylaw for the Brewery District: Wesgroup is proposing to amending the existing Village At Historic Sapperton comprehensive development district to add 3,902 square metres (452,000 square feet) of additional site density to future buildings for the site, in exchange for providing 7,804 sq.m (84,000 sq.ft) of secured market rental housing in Building 5. The applicant is also proposing to add “microbrewery, winery and distillery” and “commercial school” to the list of permitted uses and to provide a minimum requirement for “health care office” and/or “medical and health-care clinic” space in some parts of the master-planned site.
* Heritage revitalization agreement and heritage designation bylaw for 313 Queens Ave.: The owner of the 1940 house are proposing to designate the property in exchange for being able to enlarge an upper floor bedroom and build a rear addition.
* Zoning amendment bylaw for 501/503/505 12th St. and adjacent lane: The applicant wants to develop a five-storey residential building containing 34 units.
* Official community plan bylaw and zoning amendment bylaw for the Queensborough Special Study area: Platform Properties wants to build a master-planned, mixed-use development that includes retail and residential components in an area bounded by Stanley and Duncan streets and Ewen Avenue.
* Zoning amendment bylaw for 602 and 620 Ewen Ave. and 257 Boyne St – Spagnol’s townhouses. The applicant is proposing to rezone the site to build a 16-unit townhouse development.
* Zoning amendment bylaw for 129 10th St. The applicant is proposing to build an eight-unit townhouse development in the Brow of the Hill neighbourhood.
