The New Westminster Chamber of Commerce is poised to name its best and brightest for 2011 at the annual Celebration of Business Excellence awards.
The chamber is hosting the awards tonight (Wednesday) at starting at 5:45 p.m. at the Inn at the Quay. The event is sold out, however organizers say a few extra tickets may be made available. Tickets are $75 plus tax.
Nominees for each category are based on submissions from the public and business community. Once nominations are complete, the nominees are asked to fill out a questionnaire. All the questionnaires are judged and scored by a team of independent and impartial judges, and the chamber tallies the scores to pick the winners.
