Volunteers of all ages took part in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup in Queensborough Sept. 20.
Organized by Environmental Partners as a prelude to B.C. Rivers Day on Sept. 27, the cleanup saw volunteers pick up garbage and pull up invasive plants from the Queensborough waterfront. B.C. Rivers Day generates public awareness about the province’s waterways.
Recreational clubs, conservation organizations, community groups, schools and local governments host B.C. Rivers Day events across the province.
