Utility customers in New West are getting a break from the city.
New Westminster city council and the New Westminster Utility Commission have introduced COVID-19 customer relief to help residential and commercial customers experiencing financial hardship during the COVID-19 outbreak. The initiative gives customers the ability to defer bill payments or arrange for flexible payment plans.
“In these uncertain times, I would like to thank both city council and the utility commission for acting as quickly as they did in order to provide relief to our electrical utility customers,” said Rod Carle, general manager of the New Westminster Utility Commission. “Those who need help please reach out to our customer service representatives in order to have any questions you may have answered.”
Customers are encouraged to call the City of New Westminster revenue and collections team at 604-527-4555 to discuss bill payment options.
