Time-honoured tradition: It was loud and, as usual, the crowd loved it. Under clear skies on Monday, May 20, the Ancient and Honourable Hyack Anvil Battery fired the anvil after presentations and entertainment in Queen's Park Stadium at 11:15 a.m. and the 21-gun salute at noon. The anvil salute tradition has been carried out every Victoria Day since 1870.Jennifer Gauthier
