Staff members at Real Canadian Superstore locations across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley continue to be among those newly confirmed as being infected with coronavirus (COVID-19), including one in North Delta where several team members have contracted the virus.

Loblaw Companies Ltd, the parent company of Real Canadian Superstore, No Frills, and other local chains, provided updates to its COVID-19 employee case listings on March 13, indicating the following affected stores in Metro Vancouver.

  • Real Canadian Superstore, 2332 160th St., Surrey: The last day the team member worked was on March 6.
  • Real Canadian Superstore, 19851 Willowbrook Drive, Langley: The last day the team member worked was on March 9.
  • Real Canadian Superstore, 8195 - 120th Street, Delta: The last day the team members worked was on March 5 for two and March 7 for the third.

It is not clear if the three infected employees at the Superstore on 120th in North Delta are in addition to or includes a previously-listed team member who last worked March 5 at that store as Loblaw has the store twice on its British Columbia listings.

Additionally, in the Fraser Valley, Loblaw is reporting a second infected employee at its Superstore in Chilliwack (45779 Luckakuck Way). The previously-reported infected team member last worked March 7, while this newly-reported case involves a worker whose last shift was on March 8.

All of the new B.C. Real Canadian Superstore employee COVID-19 cases are from stores located in the Fraser Health region. Fraser Health does not consider any of these stores coronavirus public exposure sites, however. Loblaw reported a new store worker case for a Shoppers Drug Mart in Nanaimo as well on March 13. Currently, the company lists 20 stores in British Columbia that employ workers who have contracted COVID-19.
