"Strengthening district partnerships, improving governance structures and giving back to the community that educated myself, my husband and our children has always been a pivotal reason for my candidacy," said Graham. "As a three-term trustee and school-involved parent, I have consistently worked to address front-line school and community issues and my advocacy on behalf of special needs children, their peers, and their teachers was recognized with a Queen's Jubilee Medal.

"As we prepare for a technology-based future with improved governance and a focus on divergent-interest programming, my years of liaison/committee work, at the district, civic and provincial levels will be an asset toward transitioning into best-practice 21st century learning."

Graham has served as chair of the school district's education and social responsibility committee and she also sits on the B.C. School Trustees Association student citizenship award committee and on the city's family court committee.

Graham is one of five candidates endorsed by Voice New Westminster.
