Man previously charged for robbery in New West wanted

Warren David Bonsell, 55, is listed as one of Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers "most wanted" as of May 15, 2024.

A 55-year-old man that was recently charged for robbery in New Westminster is wanted by B.C. police.

This week, Warren David Bonsell was added to Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers' "most wanted" list.

He is deemed as unlawfully at large out of Surrey, his parole jurisdiction, according to a warrant for his arrest issued on Tuesday, May 14.

B.C. online court services explains, in November 2019, Bonsell was sentenced to nearly three years in jail for a robbery in New West in January that same year.

He was also given an additional year for use of an imitation firearm while committing an indictable offence.

As a result, Bonsell also received a mandatory lifetime prohibition on possessing firearms.

Police are now turning to the public to help find Bonsell.

Crime Stoppers says a $5,000 reward could be granted if tips and details lead to an arrest and charge.
