Re: Queenborough's Intersection of Doom (a.k.a Howes Street and Ewen Street)

Queensborough has come a long way, and it is looking better every day. Increased development and investment has also brought increased population and traffic.

As a result, getting in and out of Queensborough is increasingly tricky business, as the intersection of Howes Street and Ewen Street was designed for times and population levels of time gone by. The intersection has not been updated for nearly a decade, but population has increased significantly.

Every day, even way before rush hour starts and after rush hour ends, lines of cars waiting to turn either Howes or Ewen have to wait 30 minutes or even more.

To avoid the traffic, people turn around and head through the neighbourhood, making things worse. Aside from the wasted time, cars, SUVs and trucks spend hours spewing toxic fumes into the neighbourhood.

The question is, when will the city act to improve this? It has gone on for so many years, and there is no sign of action. What will happen when there is an emergency and we need to leave our neighborhood? How will we get out?
