Letter: Overcrowding in New West without proper services a 'terrible' ordeal

New Westminster needs to meet the demands of its growing population, this letter writer claims.

Re: Columbia Square Plaza proponent to begin public consultation in June (May 28, 2024)

I realize that we need more affordable housing.

But so far, this project is not giving us any.

Plus, not only do we have not enough classrooms, we do not have hospital spaces, recreation centres or the infrastructure needed for 4,000 or more people.

New Westminster is a great place to live, but overcrowding without the services is making it terrible.

Please explain to me that I am wrong.
