Tough economic times are taking their toll on local organizations that help those in need.
The Record will continue its longstanding tradition of publishing a Guide to Giving, which provides information about local non-profit groups where you may want to make a donation or volunteer your time.
It includes a listing of non-profit organizations that help on a number of fronts, such as groups helping the homeless or less fortunate, children and animals.
As December fast approaches, many people's thoughts are turning to the Christmas holidays.
While Royal City residents are generous throughout the year, many want to do a bit more for others in need at this time.
