New Westminster children helped to mark World Animal Day with a special celebration on Oct. 30.
Children gathered at the Centennial Community Centre on Sunday afternoon for an exhibition of artwork on the theme of animal awareness.
Kids were invited to attend in their favourite animal costumes, and prizes were awarded for best and cutest costumes.
The World Animal Day festivities were hosted by CATCA, Campaigns Against the Cruelty to Animals, an organization lobbying for animal rights, welfare and conservation that was founded by A tyrecord.com allery Ericka Ceballos in 1989.
