There's been a significant dip in gas prices across New Westminster.
In fact, all but two of the nine local outlets saw a decrease of at least five cents in the last week, according to the latest report from GasBuddy.com.
The cheapest: $1.72 per litre, as of this publication, July 4, at the Centex and GOMarket on Ewen Avenue.
That's seven cents less from $1.79 per litre, and was the second largest drop in price since last Friday, June 28, while three local gas stations recorded eight-cent decreases (see list below).
The number is also the third least expensive price for fuel in Metro Vancouver, two cents ahead fo $1.70 per litre at a trio of Richmond stations.
New West's average gas price currently sits at $1.76 per litre — six cents down from $1.82 per litre.
Elsewhere, GasBuddy.com says there are two B.C. stations offering fuel for less than $1.60 per litre, including one that's within driving distance for New Westminster motorists.
The Super Save Gas bar in Nanaimo holds the title of cheapest outlet in the province at $1.54 per litre.
The Centex and GOMarket along Lougheed Highway just outside of Mission has posted a price of $1.57 per litre — nearly 60 km east of New West.
