New Westminster motorists that choose to venture out into the ice and snow will at least find consistency at local fuel stations.
The most affordable gas in the city is $1.65 per litre at the Centex and GOMarket on Ewen Avenue, as of this publication, Jan. 19.
That's a drop of three cents from the $1.62 per litre offer last Friday, Jan. 12, according to GasBuddy.com's latest report.
The biggest bump at the pumps was five cents at the Essos on 6th Street and Sixth Avenue to $1.67 per litre from $1.62.
That number also represents New West's average price for fuel as a result of the increases.
Meanwhile, the cheapest gas in all of Metro Vancouver is $1.53 per litre at the Canco in Aldergrove.
GasBuddy.com notes the least expensive price for fuel in B.C. is $1.40 per litre at the 100th Street Shell in Fort St. John.
It also appears the province's interior is getting a good deal at the pumps with six of the top 10 prices offering around $1.42 per litre in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Salmon Arm and Lake Country.
The cheapest gas within driving distance of New West is $1.42 per litre — nearly 90 km east at the Centex and GOMarket stop off Lickman Road in Chilliwack.
