Motorists making their way through New Westminster this weekend will be treated to lower gas prices, according to new data.
GasBuddy.com says the cheapest fuel available has dropped to $1.65 per litre, as of this publication, Dec. 15.
And that number is posted at five of New West's nine outlets.
While the most affordable price declined by four cents, the $1.65 per litre available at the Esso stop on 6th Street represents an eight-cent weekly dip — the largest since last Friday, Dec. 8.
It's also considered ot be one of the cheapest gas available in all of Metro Vancouver, GasBuddy.com's latest report states.
New Westminster's average price sits at $1.66 per litre, which is six cents less than $1.72 from last Friday, Dec. 8.
Meanwhile, the most affordable gas in Metro Vancouver has dipped below $1.60 per litre.
The Canco outlet in Aldergrove (5393 248 St.) is offering $1.59 per litre, and is four cents cheaper than the next best price of $1.63 per litre at the 200 Street Super Save Gas in Langley.
Across B.C., Fort St. John holds the title of least expensive fuel in the province, hosting $1.40 per litre at UFA along Alaska Road North.
The Esso and Circle K along 1st Avenue in Chilliwack remains the closest gas station within driving distance of New Westminster with the lowest price available, offering exactly $1.44 per litre.
