At some point in our lives, we may have to downsize our housing. Sometimes this is due to aging or health issues; sometimes due to a desire for a change in lifestyle. Moving into smaller accommodation can be a challenge and raises many questions.
The New Westminster Public Library will provide some answers to these questions in a two-part series on downsizing.
During the Choosing Retirement Housing and Support Services presentation on March 5 at 7 p.m., Milinda Schulz of Seniors Voices will talk about housing options, evaluating retirement living, aging in place and home care services.
At Save the Best, Shed the Rest, on Tuesday, March 12 at 7 pm, clutter coach Anna Camporese will talk about downsizing your belongings. She will provide tools and tips that will help you decide what's best to keep.
These free programs will be held in the library auditorium, which is wheelchair accessible. Space is limited. Pre-register at the library or call 604-527-4667.
There are also books and other resources in the library that can help you make your decisions.
