This new year's weekend, we have:
1 Get entertained with Kuru Kuru Pa! a New Year's Eve Circus Gala on Saturday, Dec. 31. The Vancouver Circus School, in partnership 5(or more) Things to do this weekend with Inner Ring Circus, is presenting the theatrical premiere of Kuru Kuru Pa!, a circus performance.
Tickets for adults are $45 to $55, tickets for youth (ages 8 to 14) are $25 to $35. Seating is cabaretstyle. Admission includes one free beverage and appetizer.

2 Get celebrating at Irving House on Saturday, Dec. 31. It's your last chance to check out a Very Victorian Christmas at the heritage home that's been decorated for the holidays. Saturday is the last day the display is open to the public. Irving House is at 302 Royal Ave. Info: 604-527-4640.
3 Get watching Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge, presented by The Vagabond Players. The play runs till Saturday, Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. and 2 p.m. matinees (check the website for dates). Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge by Christopher Durang is a playful, giddy retelling of the Dickens Christmas classic, turned squarely on its head.
Tickets are $13 to $15, and they only accept cash. The play is at the Bernie Legge Theatre in Queens Park.

4 Get rocking like its 1979 for New Year's Eve at the Paddlewheeler Pub. Thunderstruck, an AC/DC tribute band will be providing the entertainment.
The $229 package for two includes a room at the neighbouring Westminster Quay Hotel, tickets for the tribute concert, a threecourse dinner, midnight champagne and late-night snacks.

5 If that's a bit excessive for you, try the Terminal Pub, which is
offering new year's party for $10 cover charge, $25 for a set menu or $16 for a meat-and-cheese board.
