Developer pitches in for RCH

The developers of the Trapp + Holbrook development on Columbia Street recently presented the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation with an initial donation of $5,000 to support its 150 Reasons to Give Campaign.

The developers of the Trapp + Holbrook development on Columbia Street recently presented the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation with an initial donation of $5,000 to support its 150 Reasons to Give Campaign.

The Salient Group has also given $5,000 donations to Douglas College and the Justice Institute of British Columbia. The developer also hopes to raise $25,000 for new equipment at RCH by pledging $1,000 for each RCH or Fraser Health employee who purchases a suite at the Trapp and Holbrook to go to the hospital fund of their choice.

SWEET OPENING AT THE PLAZA

Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip, a bakery café franchise, opened at The Plaza in New Westminster.

KC Kun will open the internationally-renowned brand's second location in Canada. The opening is part of a larger expansion by the company, which plans to open more than 10 locations throughout Metro Vancouver in the next three to five years.

"It is an exciting opportunity for us to offer our local community with not only a world-class brand, but also a one-stop dessert destination," Kun said in a media release. "We are proud to bring this time-honoured brand to the Vancouver area and look forward to providing delicious desserts to people of all ages throughout our community."

In addition to cookies, Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip offers baked goods, including macaroons, cupcakes and brownies. The cafes also serve frozen icecream treats, premium coffee drinks, refreshing frozen yogurt and real fruit smoothies.
