It’s nearing the end of the line for consultation on the Pattullo Bridge replacement project.
TransLink is wrapping up the second phase of consultation about the connections to the new Pattullo Bridge. Phase 2, which is looking at pedestrian and cyclist connections being considered as part of the replacement of the Pattullo Bridge, goes until Oct. 31.
As part of the Pattullo Bridge replacement project, TransLink consulted with the community about two options for connections to the bridge from New Westminster. It’s recommended Option A, which is considered to be most similar to what’s in place today and will see the new Pattullo Bridge connect to New Westminster via a similar bridge approach onto McBride Boulevard.
According to TransLink, this option will include improvements to existing road network connections will provide more efficient access to and from the new bridge from Royal Avenue and East Columbia Street. While the option has been selected, it will continue to be refined based on input received during the current round of consultation, along with financial and technical information.
