A local daycare is hoping to add 20 before-and after-school childcare spaces to its offerings.
Fraser Montessori Daycare currently provides 50 licensed group child care spaces for children at 1408 Fifth Ave.
It's seeking an amendment to its zoning to allow for the addition of 20 additional spots for school-aged children.
A public hearing about the rezoning application will take place on Monday, June 18.
HOUSING SYMPOSIUM SET FOR JUNE 21
The City of New Westminster is teaming up with Canada Mortgage and Housing to offer a symposium on affordable housing.
The symposium, which is taking place on June 21 at Century House, is designed to provide an opportunity for information sharing, networking and potential partnerships. "The symposium will raise awareness about the opportunities for affordable housing in New Westminster and facilitate networking and potential partnerships," said a staff report.
