New Westminster police are looking for a suspect in an apparent armed robbery at a pharmacy on Tuesday night.
According to police, a man entered a pharmacy in the 400-block of East Columbia Street just before 6: 30 p.m., brandished a handgun and demanded prescription narcotics.
The lone employee turned over the drugs and was not harmed. He called police immediately after the suspect left.
Police describe the suspect as an Indo-Canadian male, 35 to 38 years old, 5-10 tall, with an athletic build. He spoke with an accent and wore a black coat, black shirt, black toque and a light blue surgical mask.
His gun is described as black, about six inches long with two barrels aligned vertically.
