Two lots on Sprice Street in Queensborough are proposed as the site for a 10-home, compact-lot development. A city consultation period is open until April 26.

Queensborough residents can weigh in on a proposed compact-lot development in their neighbourhood.

The City of New Westminster is seeking public feedback on the proposed 10-home development on Sprice Street. The project would see 10 new single-detached houses built on compact lots, on a property that's currently two lots: 114 and 118 Sprice St.

It would feature two different styles of home, both two storeys high.

One is a 1,900-square-foot home with a single-storey flex/living space at the rear of the house, intended to provide a private space for extended family or for a home office. The other is a 1,600-square-foot home with a studio space above the double garage, accessed from the backyard.

The city’s consultation is open at New Westminster's Be Heard engagement site until April 26.

After that time, city staff will report back to council, and the city will decide whether a public hearing is required.
