COMEDY ONSTAGE AT BERNIE LEGGE
Theatre lovers, you still have a bit of time to catch the latest Vagabond Players offering.
The Kitchen Witches, a comedy by Caroline Smith, is on at the Bernie Legge Theatre in Queen's Park until April 14.
Jacqollyne Keath directs Deborah Tom and Cindy Peterson Good as two duelling divas, Isobel Lomax and Dolly Biddle.
They're the hostesses of a cable cooking show who have hated each other for more than 30 years - ever since Larry Biddle dated one and married the other. And, of course, it's a rivalry that sets up plenty of comedic mayhem.
Tickets are $15 regular, or $13 for seniors and students. For reservations, call 604-521-0412 or email reservations@vagabond players.ca.

WORDS INSPIRE ARTISTS' WORK
Lit Fest New West isn't just about books - it's about art, too.
The Arts Council of New Westminster gallery is hosting an Inspired By Words exhibition in conjunction with Lit Fest.
The exhibition opened April 3 and is continuing until April 28.
It includes mixedmedia work by artists of all ages, which the arts council promises "will lift the spirits of the viewers by the humour, beauty, the unusual and the unexpected. Visitors will be inspired to look at words in a new light."
The gallery is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. It's in Centennial Lodge, Queen's Park.
Check out www. artscouncilnewwest.org for all the details.

Shay, a native of Hamilton, Ont., has several chapbooks and one poetry collection to his credit, and his work has appeared in many literary magazines and on CBC radio.
Taylor, a Vancouver resident, won the 2010 Alfred G. Bailey Prize for his poetry collection The Other Side of Ourselves. He is the co-founder and editor of One Ghana, One Voice, Ghana's first online poetry magazine, and he's one of the coordinators of Vancouver's Dead Poets reading series.
