Canada Post issues 'red service alert' for Metro Vancouver due to snowfall

Mail and parcel delivery will resume once conditions improve
Canada Post suspends mail delivery
Canada Post has suspended mail delivery for Metro Vancouver after the region's recent snowstorm.

If you're in Metro Vancouver and waiting for a package or dreading a bill you'll have to wait a little longer.

Canada Post recently issued a red delivery service alert for Metro Vancouver, Vancouver Island, and the Fraser Valley due to conditions brought on by the latest snowstorm. A red service alert means Canada Post will not send delivery agents out or will recall agents already sent according to a recent statement.

Mail delivery will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so.

In preparation for when conditions improve, Canada Post encourages the clearing of snow and ice from walkways, stairs, and driveways.
