Computer, eReader, tablet or phone, all can be used to read electronic books including library books. Find out how to borrow ebooks for free at an information session at the New Westminster Public Library, 7 p.m. The session will include how to borrow ebooks, using the software, some differences between ereaders and tablets and how to borrow emagazines and eaudiobooks. As space is limited, pre-registration is required. Call 604-527-4667. The New Westminster Public Library is at 716 Sixth Ave. and is wheelchair accessible.

Follow in artist Georgia O'Keeffe's footsteps to New Mexico, at the monthly travel show at the New Westminster Public Library. Gayle Mavor will lead an armchair trip to Santa Fe, Taos and Ghost Ranch, where O'Keeffe spent the second half of her life. Mavor's own experience of the area, through photographs, is interspersed with anecdotes about O'Keeffe's life. Travel show takes place at 2:30 p.m., in library auditorium, 716 Sixth Ave. The library is wheelchair accessible. The library and the University Women's Club of New Westminster cosponsor the travel shows.

Friday, April 5

Wild Life, a new four-person show by New West Artists in partnership with thenetworkhub.ca. Opening reception, 6 to 8 p.m., second floor of River Market, 810 Quayside Dr. Wild Life features artists Alicija Draganska, Robert Jost, James Price and Julia Schoennagel. Art can be viewed during Networking Hub's hours, Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, April 6

The Westminster Church Choir and friends, present I Will Rise, a musical, which offers some of today's most popular worship songs blended with many of the church's most beloved hymns, 7:15 p.m., Westminster SDA Church, 7925 10th Ave. Burnaby (enter from 11th Avenue off Sixth Street - just across the New Westminster border). Concert is designed for people of all ages and denominations. Seating is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Freewill offering will be taken. Info: 604-524-6969.

Century House annual thrift sale, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 620 Eighth St. Free admission. Bargains galore, including clothing, small appliances, jewelry, kitchenware, books, knick-knacks, records, plants and more. Everyone welcome. Refreshments available.

Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security Information, overview of eligibility requirements, types of benefits available, benefits for low income seniors and changes to the CPP will be discussed, followed by a question-and-answer period, 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
