Charges have been laid following the discovery of a stabbing victim in a residence in the 500 block of Ash Street on Wednesday evening.
According to police, officers were called to a home on Ash Street after receiving a report of an assault with a weapon at about 7 p.m. on Aug. 6. When police arrived, they found a male victim suffering from severe but non-life threatening knife wounds. He was treated on scene and taken to hospital by ambulance, the release stated.
Following their investigation, police arrested 38-year-old Kevin Francis Murphy of New Westminster. Murphy is charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of uttering threats.
Murphy is scheduled to be in court on Aug. 11.
