Arts New West's annual Call to Artists submission deadline is Saturday, July 15.

Arts New West (formerly known as the Arts Council of New Westminster) is looking to fill up its 2024 programming calendar with exhibitions by artists in the Metro Vancouver region. And if you are an artist who has a body of works that you think deserve to be showcased on gallery walls, here is an opportunity that you should grab.

Arts New West is calling both established and emerging artists to submit their works for 2024 by Saturday, July 15.

The arts organization plans to have exhibitions that reflect both the cultural and artistic diversity of contemporary art in the region. Artists on the LGBTQ+ spectrum, non-binary artists, artists of colour, Indigenous artists, and disabled artists, as per the organization’s website, are strongly encouraged to apply.

The call to artists is both for the Community Art Gallery within the Anvil Centre in downtown New Westminster and the Gallery at Queen's Park in the Centennial Lodge, Queen’s Park.

While the Gallery at Queen’s Park showcases 2D and 3D art by individual artists (unless it is a group show including 3D works) on a monthly basis, the Community Art Gallery at the Anvil Centre showcases 2D art by groups of two or more artists for a two-month period.

The deadline for submissions is Saturday, July 15. There are separate application packages for each venue. Check out https://artscouncilnewwest.org/callforartists/ for details.
