Vancouver will be hit by lots of rain over the next 24 hours.

If you were wondering where all the rain was hiding this summer, it seems it's been found in September.

Another rain warning has been issued for the Metro Vancouver area for Sept. 29 and 30.

"A strong moisture laden system off the Pacific will bring heavy rain to the south coast tonight," states Environment Canada in their warning. "Rain along with gusty winds will begin this evening. The rain is expected to intensify throughout the night and continue throughout the day tomorrow while the gusty winds are expected to ease off before morning."

The warning covers most of Metro Vancouver, including the City of Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, North Vancouver and Coquitlam.

It's also been issued for Howe Sound.

It's expected that most areas will receive between 50 and 70 mm of rain by tomorrow morning, with some areas in the North Shore Mountains and Howe Sound areas getting up to 90 mm.

Along with the heavy rain gusts of wind are predicted to hit 70 km/h. The storm brings cautions.

"Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads," warns Environment Canada.
