The Hyack Festival Association has selected Ann Luu of CTV British Columbia and Farhan Lalji of TSN to be the Honourary Parade Marshals for the 2012 Hyack International Parade presented by Key West Ford.

The 41st annual International Parade will take place on Saturday, May 26 beginning at 11am in the uptown area of New Westminster and concluding in Queen's Park.

"We are delighted to have Ann and Farhan as our Honourary Parade Marshals for this year" said Rick Molstad, director in charge of the 2012 Hyack International Parade.

"CTV British Columbia is one of our major media partners and both Ann and Farhan are part of the Bellmedia family. I know they will enjoy the opportunity to be a part of this year's parade. Farhan is a long-time fixture in our community as head football coach of the New Westminster Secondary School Hyacks, so it's appropriate we recognize him."

Luu is the Traffic Specialist for CTV Morning Live on CTV British Columbia. Named as "One of the Top 10 Most Beautiful People in British Columbia" by TV Week Magazine, Luu is a consummate 'people person' and a great community ambassador for CTV.

Lalji is no stranger to residents of New Westminster. As the Vancouver correspondent for TSN's SportsCentre, Lalji is very familiar to sports fans in the Lower Mainland. He has covered the Canucks and Lions and other major sports teams in Vancouver since 1997. Locally, he has helped grow the game of football at the grassroots level. Lalji is entering his 23rd year of coaching BC High School football and his 8th as head coach of the Hyacks.
