Ten vehicles were targeted during a string of vandalism on Fourth Avenue on the long weekend.

The New Westminster Police Department received a call about 11:30 a.m. on Monday from a resident reporting that several vehicles parked on the street had been vandalized overnight with spray paint.

“When officers arrived on scene, they found 10 vehicles had been sprayed with orange and blue paint,” said a NWPD news release. “Officers collected evidence and began canvassing the area for CCTV footage.”

The NWPD is asking any witness who have information about what occurred in the 1000 and 1100 block of Fourth Avenue on the evening of Sunday, May 21 to call 604-525-5411.

“A senseless act like this has no place in New Westminster,” said NWPD spokesperson Sgt. Andrew Leaver. “We believe someone will recognize these two individuals and help us identify them.”

Police have released CCTV footage they believe is linked to the vandalism in the Brow of the Hill neighbourhood.
