Sisters open decadent dessert shop in New Westminster

Company is locally owned and operated
Trove Desserts is co-owned by sisters Julia Witter and Karli Stol.

New Westminster dessert lovers are getting a new place to fill their bellies.

Trove Desserts announced on Wednesday that it has moved to New West. Trove is now based out of a commissary kitchen (shared commercial kitchen space) located at 1122 - 5th Ave.

Trove Desserts is a sister-owned-and-operated gourmet dessert business that specializes in creating beautiful and delicious dessert boxes. All the baked goods found in a Trove Dessert box are handmade by the sisters, who also live in New West.

"Over the last few years, we've seen a few new businesses opening up all over town, which we always love to see. We hope bringing a new option for gourmet desserts to our neighbours and community will help New West continue to thrive,” said co-owner Julia Witter.

Key benefits customers can expect from this move, according to Trove:

  • New 3-day advance ordering – “We know life can get hectic and it can be difficult to plan far in advance,” says a news release. “With the added flexibility in our kitchen times, we can finally move away from a weekly order cutoff to a 3-day in advance order system.”
  • Expanded delivery zones - Now able to offer delivery to customers throughout the lower Mainland, from West Vancouver all the way to Abbotsford.
  • Central location - this new central location provides customers easier access for pickup orders, no matter where you are coming from.
  • Last-minute requests – “We get it, life happens, and sometimes you just can't wait 3 days for dessert. Although we won't always be able to accommodate these requests, we are hoping that the increased kitchen hours will enable us to be more flexible with last minute dessert requests.”

"Living in New Westminster, it was an easy choice to try and make it happen this close to home. Our long-term vision includes a retail storefront, and we believe this move will get us one step closer to achieving that goal," said co-owner Karli Stol.
