The New Westminster Chamber of Commerce announced Saturday that it has a new person hired for the top job.
Chair Danison Buan announced that the board of directors have appointed Nikki Morris as executive director.
“The New Westminster Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Ms. Morris has been selected as the new Executive Director for the Chamber,” said Buan, in a news release. “We are looking forward to Nikki providing leadership and assistance to the New West business community. Her dedication to the Chamber movement is long standing and we are confident she will represent the Chamber and the City of New Westminster well.”
The Board of Directors also thanked the departing CEO, Rnold Smith, for his dedicated work that included helping businesses navigate COVID-19.
“We’d like to thank our outgoing Chief Executive Officer Rnold Smith for his tireless dedication to the Chamber, especially during this past tumultuous year,” said Buan. “His contribution to and passion for the Chamber movement was actively felt during his tenure.”
Smith will be dedicating his full time and energy as President and Chief Visionary to his company, Connection Apps Inc., said a chamber news release.
