Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings.
If there’s a theatre-lover on your Christmas list and you’ve been wondering what to buy them, here’s a suggestion: Get tickets now for Patrick Street Productions’ It’s a Wonderful Life, coming to the Anvil Centre stage from Dec. 19 to Jan. 5. And act quickly, because there’s an early-bird discount if you get your tickets before Nov. 1.
Yes, the show is indeed the story you know and love – adapted from Frank Capra’s classic film by Patrick Street artistic producer Peter Jorgensen, featuring classic music from the era. You’ll have a chance to enjoy such musical standards as Nice Work If You Can Get It, Rhapsody in Blue, One Life to Live, and Lost in the Stars, along with traditional holiday carols, all against the backdrop of the familiar story of George Bailey and the angel who helps him recognize the worth of his life.
It stars Nick Fontaine, Erin Palm and Jim Hibbard, with Greg Armstrong-Morris as Clarence, the angel in search of his wings. The cast also includes some other familiar faces on the Lower Mainland musical theatre scene: Stephen Aberle, Andrew Cohen, Justin Lapeña, Kamyar Panzadeh, Vanessa Merenda, Gordon Roberts, Sayer Roberts, Ali Watson and Colleen Winton.
Tickets start at $29. Check out www.patrickstreetproductions.com for full details and links to ticket sales.
