NWSS music department jazz night, Swinging into Spring, featuring the school’s four jazz bands and senior vocal jazz, with guest artist Steve Kaldestad on tenor sax. A fundraiser for the school’s music program, it takes place at the Anvil Centre theatre. Guests can choose from regular or cabaret-style seating. Landmark Cinemas 10 New Westminster hosts an A Cappella Sing-Off in celebration of the release of Pitch Perfect 2. Event starts at 6 p.m., with teams of four or more singers competing for a grand prize of a private karaoke party on the big screen at Landmark Cinemas.
