Way Off-Broadway Wednesday is celebrating International Women’s Day with two weeks of women’s work.
On Wednesday, March 6, audiences can enjoy Devon More’s Hits Like a Girl, featuring songs, poems and stories “about losing a sense and finding a sense of self,” as a press release says. The show is heading out on a cross-Canada tour this summer.
Then, on Wednesday, March 13, it’s an all-female all-star sketch comedy adventure, Codenames. The show, written and performed by Allison Melech, Michelle Walker, Taylor Ray and Megan Phillips, is “like being at a sleepover with three of your closest gal pals where the blood-curdling ghost stories all end in twisted punchlines,” the release says.
All Way Off-Broadway Wednesday shows start at 7 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m. They’re held in the back room at the Heritage Grill, 447 Columbia St., and admission is on a pay-what-you-want basis. Reservations are recommended at 604-759-0819.
