The Way Off-Broadway Wednesdays team is offering up a Sunday night special in honour of Remembrance Day.
The group, which brings fringe festival favourites and unique performers to the stage at the Heritage Grill every Wednesday, is offering up an extra performance on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Morris Bartlett will return to the stage with I Left My Heart in Ma’Sum Ghar, a solo storytelling show by the Afghan war veteran turned standup comedian that examines the brotherhood of soldiers, would-be weapons of mass destruction and the fickleness of fate. Bartlett was a corporal with First Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, and he now provides a first-hand account of his experiences in a stand-up format that merges the hopeless and the hilarious.
The performance costs $10 in advance, if bought through iheartmsg.eventbrite.ca, or $12 at the door (available starting at 7 p.m.).
The Heritage Grill is at 447 Columbia St. Get all the details on Facebook at www.facebook.com/WayOffWed.
