If you're looking for entertainment for a summer afternoon, you don't have to wander any farther than the outdoor stage at Westminster Centre.

The Hyack Festival Association's Uptown Unplugged busking series is continuing this weekend, with performances from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 10 and 11.

Headlining on Sunday will be the Vancouver Poetry Slam team. The poets will compete for the prize of being selected the slam winner - a contest that will be judged by audience members selected at random.

Check out the Van Poetry Slam website at www.vancouverpoetryhouse.com/vanslam/ for more - or turn out at the stage at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday to enjoy the show in person.

Also performing on Sunday will be singer-songwriter Angie Ingles, singer and accordion player Rowan Lipokits, and Jeff Neufeld with old country tunes.

On Saturday, Aug. 10, the headliner will be Max Tell - who has seven world tours and six acclaimed CDs to his credit. He was one of three storytellers to be chosen in a countrywide search for the 2013 TD Canadian Children's Book Week Tour.

Also on stage Saturday will be Latin jazz musician Jorge Leyton, singer-songwriter Alayna Silverberg, The Space Commander, The Groove Machine and the Ukulele Bandito.
