The Reluctant Fundamentalist screens tonight (Feb. 24) at the Massey Theatre.

Movie buffs, what better way to spend a snowy winter evening than catching a film?

The Arts Council of New Westminster's Last Mondays at the Movies series continues tonight - Monday, Feb. 24 - at the Massey Theatre.

Tonight's showing is The Reluctant Fundamentalist, which tells the story of a young Pakistani man (Riz Ahmed) who graduates from Princeton and tries to find success on Wall Street. Instead, he finds himself caught between the conflict of his American dream, a hostage crisis and the call of his family's homeland.

The movie is based on Mohsin Hamid's 2007 novel of the same name.

If you can't make tonight, then be sure to note the next two movies in your calendar.

On March 31, you can enjoy Philomena - the movie starring Judi Dench that tells the story of a young unwed woman who was forced to give up her child in 1950s Ireland, and who spent 50 years searching for that child.

On April 28, catch The Invisible Woman - the story of Charles Dickens' secret love, Nelly. It stars Ralph Fiennes and Felicity Jones.
