RCYB Nutcracker returns to Massey stage

It’s a holiday favourite in New Westminster, and it’s returning to the Massey Theatre stage on Monday. Royal City Youth Ballet is bringing its annual Nutcracker production to the stage on Dec. 19 for shows at 2 and 7 p.m.

Royal City Youth Ballet is bringing its annual Nutcracker production to the stage on Dec. 19 for shows at 2 and 7 p.m.
 
The cast features more than 100 young dancers, including 27 from New Westminster. Local dancers Amie Sokugawa, Kristian Arciaga and Megan Schwartz all have featured roles in this year’s production.
 
Other New West dancers in the cast include Jenna Bevacqua, Joya Bevacqua, Emma Canil, Aimie Charles, Morgan Dall, Isabella Domingues, Ilana Gastaldo, Addison Gosselin, Kennedy Gosselin, Lauren Gosselin, Anne Hodges, Angelica Macdonald, Aleksandra Novosiltseft, Anita Orha, Michael Paul, Mae Pearce, Emily Schwartz, Julia Schwartz, Nicholas Schwartz, Danielle Shouldice, Emily Simko, Lia Sokugawa, Claudia Stevens and Madison Stocker.
 
The production, under the artistic direction of Dolores Kirkwood, includes sets by Jean Claude Olivier and costumes by Chris Sinosich.
